Arrival to Helsinki

8.30

Bus from harbor to Finnish Anthroposophic Society (Uudenmaankatu 25A). You can leave your luggage at the Society.

 

Bus to the Swedish Lyceum (Unioninkatu 2) where Rudolf Steiner gave a series of lectures in 1912.

9.30

Arrival of Finnish participants. Start of the PROGRAM. The time is approximate and may change. Interpreting into Russian and German will be provided.

10.00

Walk along the embankment to the old main building of the University. On the way we will have a look at the Helsinki Cathedral where Rudolf Steiner attended the Easter service with his Russian friends.

10.45

Walk from University past Railway Square to Fennia hotel where Rudolf Steiner stayed both times with his followers.

Around 11.30

Arrival to new student dormitory. The total length of walk is approximately 2 km.

11.45 - 12.30

Simple lunch at Kaama restaurant: salad, soup, drinks

 

After lunch we will walk (approximately 850m) to Ostrobotnia building where a congregation hall shall be reserved for us from 13.00 to 16.00. The celebration will start by the story of the building, which will be followed (if possible) by eurhythmy and lecture (theme of lecture being discussed). Tea and coffee will be served at 15.00.

 

The Rock Dome church (Temppeliaukio) can be visited afterwards.

 

The fee for organisation of Program in Helsinki is EUR 20 per person for a group of over 30 participants. The fee includes cost of lunch.

 

After the end of Program, time is free until departure. An excursion to places further from Helsinki centre can be organized by request. Those needing rest are welcome at the Anthroposophic Society. Participants will be provided by the plan of Helsinki centre.
