Dear Friends,

In 1912 and 1913, Rudolf Steiner addressed the Russian audience in Helsingfors. Both these Lectures were delivered in the time that the Anthroposophical Society was being formed. Essentially, these Lectures were addressed not only to his immediate audience or exclusively to Russian Anthroposophy followers but rather to its followers in all of the world, to the world's healthy energies.

Years 2012 and 2013 mark the 100 anniversary of these Lectures' life in the world. We have the possibility, with the powers effected by time and on the ground of everything good that has ripened within the past 100 years, to join in addressing to the questions inside us.

First Lecture was delivered by Rudolf Steiner on 11 April 1912, therefore the first Meeting of the Anthroposophic Society, entitled «There Is Salvation for Russia», took place in St. Petersurg on 10-14 April this year.   

The Meeting was the first experience of local joint work of Anthroposophy followers in Russia. Among the questions discussed were: What is a Slavonian person? What are a nation's Soul and Mind? How do they act inside the nation? How are they experienced by a single human? What are specifics of social life in Russia?

And once again, in 2013, together with our international friends, universal, global questions can be discussed: the Earth as an integral organism. What is the role, task, function of the world's nations in the universal organism? What specifics and abilities define this task within the time and within the development of the mankind and the Earth. And, within this context and on the ground of Rudolf Steiner's Lecture to Russians, what is the universal role of Russia and incarnation in Russia.

Such is the outline. The details of our work, its mood, the questions that will be discussed in detail – this all depends on ourselves as the both Meetings can be regarded as our experience of collaborative search of answers to the question: How a single human's freely manifested will can exist in harmony with other human's free wills? What is the path to co-creativeness?

The Second international Meeting entitled «On the Way to Philadelphia: Lectures to Russians – Lectures to the World… (Celebrating the 100 year Anniversary of Rudolf Steiner's Lectures in Helsingfors)» is to be held in St.Petersburg on 19-23 June 2013.

Both Meetings bring us to the high point of 2013, the 100 year Anniversary of the Foundation of Goetheanum and of the opening of Vladimir Solovyov Anthroposophic Society in Moscow. What will be achieved during the Meetings in St. Petersburg, will prepare us to the celebration of the 100 year anniversary of these two milestone events in the development of Russia and the world.

There are many questions and much work. Our cooperative work can be bright and joyful in joint celebration of spiritual joy and spiritual responsibility.
